SNP Genotyping service

genotypingGetting your genotyping done has never been simpler or more cost effective (costs are available here). With over 600 million data points generated with in excess of 900 worldwide customers KBiosciences is one of the leading providers of contracted out Genotyping services.

We are the world leading service for flexibility. Any size, shape and organism (full list here) can be accomodated at our custom built facility.
We use our in house patented single plex technology KASPar that offers extremely flexible SNP genotyping.

Pricing and project cost examples

KBiosciences designs, validates and genotypes the assays over your samples potentially at a cost lower than you are used to paying for reagents only.

What steps are normally involved in getting your samples genotyped withKBiosciences? Our prices are all inclusive. We supply the labour, robotic pipette tips, PCR plates, seals & reagents. In essence everything.

KBiosciences will store your assays

and data if you need to send more samples to genotype.Your samples will be kept for an agreed period if you wish to run more SNPs on them.

If your SNP is listed in ABI's Assay on demand™service

If your SNP is listed in ABI's Assay on demand™service or you already have Taqman™ Primers & Probes then we are happy for you to send us the Primers & Probes instead of KBiosciences doing the validation setup, although it is still often more cost effective for us to set the assays up using KASPar

1
Fill out a new-customer application form (unless you are an existing customer)

2Tell us which SNPs that you are interested in by emailing us a short sequence file with the SNP marked.

3We setup the assays by designing and ordering the oligos and testing them against a random panel of DNA samples (or a panel of your choice).

4Send us your samples.

5Send us your plate layout file.

6We prepare the plates for genotyping and carry out all the reactions to genotype your samples.

7We send you the results.
