kodKASPar On Demand (KOD)
Assay design, manufacture testing and optimisation service

KBiosciences has carried out literally 100,000's of successful assay designs to date. We consider ourselves expert at getting even some of the most difficult assays to work

The KOD service entails the following

  1. E-mail us your sequence(s) of interest
  2. The design of the assay and the ordering of the Oligos is carried out in the KBioscience LIMS
  3. The oligonucleotides arrive & are combined to form an assay using 2D barcoded tubes
  4. The assay is validated over 44 random Caucasian DNA samples (or samples of your choice)
  5. If the assay requires optimisation we then carry this out in-house
  6. The assay is shipped to the customer along with the 2D barcode, name and any special conditions required for optimal performance

Performance
Typically we are able to achieve a success rate of >90% conversion to working assays. For more information see our recent in depth study in comparison to Taqman (click here)

Delivery
The working aliquots will provide sufficient assay mix to genotype a guaranteed minimum of >2500 reactions at 10ul per reaction, or 5000 reactions when using 5ul sized reactions

Delivery Times
We offer two speeds of delivery, normal and fast. The costs differ, due to the differing cost in oligo manufacture and prioritisation at KBioscience.
- Normal turnaround times are an estimated delivery of 4-6 weeks
- Fast turnaround times are a guaranteed delivery of 2-3 weeks.
