About us
KBioscience is a privately held company originally set up in 2001 to exploit the useof its patented novel plate sealing technologies which allowed us to reduce assay volumes and lower the cost our our SNP genotyping.
In 2002 we developed our own patented genotyping chemistry to further lower the cost of our services to our customers.
Since the invention of KASP KBioscience has developed its own range of novel instrumentation, including high throughput thermal cyclers and plate sealers. Our vision is to identify unmet needs for the Life science industry using our core lab services divsion, and develop the best product we can for this. A prasiee of these products which can be found in more detail on this website are our 384 /1536 PCR plates, our DNA extraction kits, our novel genotyping chemistries. We are always working on new developments and should you have any unmet needs then please dont hesitate to approach us.
KBiosciences now stands as a company of approaching 50 staff consisting of scientists, technical sales, software and robotic engineers.
We currently collaborate with in excess of 1100 labs worldwide in SNP genotyping and supply all the major pharma biotech with our enabling range of instrumentation.

Facilities
We occupy approximately 10000sq ft of lab predominantly built by ourselves in Hoddesdon, Herts
. In addition we have an instrumentation design and production facility located in Brentwood, Essex.
